Lac d'Oô
Lac d'Oô, located in the French Pyrenees, is a natural gem set in the Oô valley. This 42-hectare reservoir lies at an altitude of 1,507 metres and is surrounded by spectacular Alpine scenery.
Accessible after a hike of around 1h30 from the Granges d'Astau, the lake offers a breathtaking view of a 275-metre-high waterfall, the Cascade d'Oô, which feeds the lake with its crystal-clear waters. This picturesque setting is ideal for hiking, photography and nature lovers. In summer, the surrounding meadows are adorned with wild flowers, while the snow-capped mountain peaks add a majestic touch to the panorama.
Lac d'Oô is also a starting point for longer, more challenging hikes, leading to nearby lakes such as Lac d'Espingo, Lac du Portillon or Lac Saussat, and the surrounding peaks. Wildlife enthusiasts will be able to spot marmots, isards and a variety of mountain birds.

Departure of the shuttle bus (to be booked via the ticket office) at 9am from the Luchon station car park. Return to Luchon from the Granges d'Astau car park at 3.30pm.
Access
From Luchon, take the D618 to Castillon-de-Larboust, then the D76 to its end via Ôo. Park in the Granges d'Astau car park. Accessible after a walk of around 1h30.
